Tamaki College Day Out.

The Yr 8's from Pt England school was Invited to go to Tamaki College and to see how its like in college and what they experienced. Our first class was Social Study with Mr Allison, What did we learn in Social Study? 
Well we learnt about how we get to school and we also had to think if we are the richest country and what would we do if we were rich and had heaps of money. How did we get to school? I got to school by car because I live far from the school and if I lived near the school I wouldn't of walked to school.  

Are we the richest country? Well I say its Average because in our Country theirs poor people around the world and some other country's have everything and heaps amount of money. What would you do if you had heaps of money? If I had heaps of money I would donate it to the charity and hospitals for kids and will also help families that are needed.

Then we went off to Maths. In maths I learnt Algebraic, I also learnt what Expression is and also what equation is. Expression is a question that has no equal sign e.g 4a + 2a no equal. What Is Equation, well it means the opposite of the expression it has a equal sign e.g 5a + 2c =. I really had enjoyed learning about algebraic. Maybe I will come to Tamaki College hmmm Maybe Maybe not.

Ohh well I had heaps of fun going to Tamaki and getting to know what college is like. Mr Dunn said to us that don't think college will be too hard because it won't there will be heaps of teachers supporting you, Thank you and please enjoy.

Magnus the Magnificent

Magnus the Magnificent

Orientation:

Long ago there lived a magnificent girl named Magnus. She was a kind and lovable girl who would always put family first before friends. Magnus was the eldest of 3 annoying sisters. People around her neighbourhood called her Magnus the magnificent because when things go wrong they can always count on her to solve their problems.

Problem:

Does Magnus have super powers?

Does she make her own pills?

Hmm maybe, maybe not. Every time people would call for her, she would always go to the basement and pick one of her potion and the potion makes her a Superhero. So all this time she wasn't a Real Super Hero hmmmm What could go wrong if Magnus didn't have enough potions left. Later on that day Magnus decided to rest, she woke a few minutes later and she saw that there was only 11 potions left. This time heaps of people asked if Magnus could help them. Magnus didn’t have enough, she didn’t know what to do so she chucked her potion and had decided that she has to do the job not the potion herself.

Solution:

Overall Magnus had finally believed in herself that she can do all things not from a potion but from her heart. She didn’t know what to do at first when she was running out of potions so she she thought and was thinking if she could d it all by herself and she did. That’s how Magnus turned out to be the real Magnus the magnificent.

Violet Walrond

Hello Bloggers,Here is a blog post about a mother and a son who didn't own a house. So they had to sleep in the car the mum would sleep at the back and the son would sleep at the front because that's where most of the sun comes to for warming. The text at the end was happy because the mum found herself a Job and the son was being cared to be at school, So they are gonna have a pretty good future. Hello Bloggers, Here is a blog post about what we have been learning about in Literacy class. This is about how we feel when we speak, how it looks like and also how it sounds like. So I have learnt how to speak louder and clearly to people when you are introducing your work, I have learnt that when you mumble well for me it tells me that I am nervous when I am speaking and also mean that I am not confident enough to speak. Last I have learnt that while me and my group are having a conversation we have to learn to listen to one and other.
