How do we stay safe from the Sun.

It is very important to keep away from the sun because you might get Skin Cancer and you might get Sun burnt. Too much sun and heat could make you feel terrible. So You need to put on sunscreen then You need to stay under the shade if you don’t have any sunscreen and last but not least you need to keep away from the sun because it is too bright that you might get blind.

First thing that you need to stay safe in the sun is that you need to cover yourself with clothing. If you are going out somewhere while the sun is still shining out then you need to wear a hat so that you won’t be getting skin cancer. If you wear a hat that doesn’t cover your neck then the sun is gonna go through your skin and you will get sunburnt and you don’t want that to happen to your skin.

Why do you have to wear sunscreen?

The reason why you have to wear sunscreen is that you won’t get sunburn and plus if you wear shorts and singlets you need to cover yourself with sunscreen on so that you won’t get any darker. There is lots of different kinds of sunscreens like Skin protections and Waterproof so that you can swim in the water. When you wear sunscreen and you sit down on the sand then you will have sand everywhere because you have sunscreen on.

Why do you have to wear sunglasses?

You need to wear sunglasses because you have to cover your eyes. Sunglasses could probably protect your eyes from the sun. If you have no sunglasses and you stare at the sun too much then you are  going to be blind. Wearing sunglasses is important because you have to cover your eyes.

It is very important staying safe in the sun. You need to have these things to keep you safe some Sunscreen, Hat and Sunglasses. Make sure you use these things because these are the things that you guys need when you go out somewhere hot and sunny if you don’t then stay in the shade because you might get skin cancer and sunburn.

The 1800.

Hello everybody Today my group has been learning lots of different kind of things in Samoa.Me and my group has been making a movie of Samoa,There are lots of different kind of food and sports in Samoa.Samoa is different than New Zealand because of the languages and their island foods.People in Samoa can speak English a little bit just like my papa.

The food in Samoa that I know are
1.Chop sui (Sapasui)
2.Taro (Kalo)
3.Pork (Pu aka)
4.Lamb (Mamoe)
 5.Fish (Eka)
6.Chicken (Moa)

Samoa is one of my favorite places to go because they have nice Beaches and they have a very hot and sunny day over there its like I am going to faint in the middle of nowhere.I like to learn more of Samoa even though I am a half Samoan. Ambury Farm 2013.

Hi here is a story about Ambury farm it was so fun because we get to feed the animals. Yay as i jumped in the classroom because we were going on a trip to Ambury farm because our topic is about farming.As we went there we jumped of the bus got sorted in our groups and went inside this hall. there was a lady could Debbie. she told all the year 5 team to get into two groups my group was Khaia's mum we got the bags of cardboards and we had to figure out what goes to input and what goes to output.Input is when you have to pay the bills and Output is when farmers has to spend money on meat , animals and food.

 Then we went was the shearing shed it is where sheep get shaved.There was a lady Jinnen who works there. Before we got inside, it smelled like sheep and poo! Janine shaved the sheeps bottom because when it poops the poo stays there and they shave it to be clean and clear..When Jinnen finished shaved it it has to slide down this tunnel and has to go to the field. Jinnen passed some wool to everyone and we had to rub it on our skin, our face and we had to smell it. it was a disgusting part.

  Next we went to the Milking shed with a cow Debbie had to milk it and we even got to walk around it and pat it. the name of the cow is Mrs T “isn’t that a beautiful name” said Melenoa. we went up and I was really scared that it would bite me. So i went behind and started to pat her she was a bit muddy The next thing we did was a walk. we had to follow those yellow markers it was like the amazing race because it has arrows. Our group took a photo on a giant frame. we were standing on it. while we opened the gate and it was like poo land. There were lots of poo everywhere and some of us stood on it.

 “EWW” i shouted as I accidently stepped on poo. It was dry! We walked to the beach and we were there for about 10 minutes having fun and playing on the sand. After lunch, we had to feed the animals this was my favourite part. The First animal we fed was the lambs. it was ticklish on my fingers because they licked our hands.Isn’t that cute for a sheep that licks your hands.The next animal we fed was the chickens it was too scary because i always thought that they would bites my finger but they didn’t.

The next animal we feed was cows it was yack because it did a slimy poop when we start feeding them.But at less they didn’t do it on us.When we finished feeding the cows we were feeding the goats there was 2 bushy goats and i think they are teenage ones and there is one goat name Dazill but i don’t know the other one.

 Ohhhhh and i think our last animal we get to see was the rabbits it was cool because they had a house and their was about three our 2 Rabbits in there it was so cute feeding the animals. My Favourite part for Ambury park is when we feed the animals because it was funny and i never fed an animal before and my Goal is to get better at feeding the chickens.When we got to Ambury farm i was so excited and nervous because there might be poo on the grass everywhere.I always want to come back because it is a nice place and plus there is lots of differents kind of animals there.

Manaikalani Film Festival 2013.

Yesterday it was the manaiakalani Film Festival and guess what i am the presenter for our class it was me and Kyan.We had to wake up at 8.o'clock.I was at school and i went to Mrs Teleas Office and she wasn’t there so i waited and waited until i saw Kyan.We both went if she was there and she was there at her office so we practice and we had to set down and Miss Telea said to stand up in a line and check if we are tidy..So After that the First bell rang and we were leaving so we decided who we are going with and the year 5 are going with Miss Vaafusuaga


. As we arrived to Sylvia Park we got ready we were practicing.When we were practicing there was kids from other schools came inside to have a practice and my heart was beeping and when it was beeping the whole Stonefield school came and as they were in a chair we were getting started so me and Kyan was setting together and waited for our turn and as we waited the people that had a turn had to set somewhere else so that mrs Telea knows that they haven't had a turn.

 When it was our turn i couldn’t stop being shy so i did it and when you are up stage you can’t see the Audience so that you can;t be shy.So we both said our bit and then we were finished and we had to have our lunch and go back to school.Please enjoy and Bye

Fun Run Certificate.

Hello my name is Rowana and here is a story about me.At assembly miss Vaafusuaga had some fun run certificate and she said that Rm 13 won the certificate and room 13 won it guess what we raised $817.00 wow that big and miss Vaafusuaga called my name and she said that i raised the highest out of the whole school but only in Pt england and i raised $400.00and i went up the stage and stared at everyone i was so proud.Did you know how i got $400.00 well my Aunty workes at the airport and she has lots and lots of friends to ask to raise for me when i get home i will surprise my mum.Here are the pictures to look at it please leave me a comment Enjoy it.

My holiday.

 During the holidays me and my sister Raewen went to camp a riverside camp and the place was could Willow park.At Wiilow park it has lots and lots of games to play like Tapletennis,Tennis,Minny golf,Scooters and bikes,Basketball and last but not least is playing on the Trampline.Once we got their Mr Burt gets his note book and tells us witch team are we in.

 While we got in tems i was in Mrs Haris and Tamaras team and they are our team leader.In my group ther was 7 of us and it was Sarah,Ana,Adriel,Ata,Rita,me and Teleta.So after when we got in to groups we had to go to miss Hamilton our helper and she tells us what room are we are.So when we went to our room we looked at our room number so that we don’t know witch room are we in.When we finished packing our stuff we went over to the rimu room.The rimu room is like a free time place.Oh i forgot there are about 7 teams in camp and it is the Divas,Startes,NewError,G.B.G,P.O.B,Brother hood and the OBs.So when we were finished meeting in the rimu room we had to splid up and each team has to figger out where they will go because we had to practice our dance for Thursday.Thursday is our concert and our perants will come on that day.So for oour practice my team went to go practice out side and for our dance we are going to do remix and it will be Singleladys,Move your body and Treasure.

When mr Burt tells us that it is time to pack up the stuff like the micophone we had to put it away. When Mr burt was telling us that we were finished we had lunch for lunch we had mince and cheese pie it was delicious and yummy.Did you know that we did not make the mince and cheese pie it was the people who owned willow park and did you even know that the cooks are the chefs.So when we ate some pies we get to go and get secound.I did not want to get secounds because i was so full and when we ate our pie it was like that we are the judger for the food.I always want to go to willow park because i liked our bedroom and the food.When it was the last day we had to tell what is our highlight and what is our lowlight.I said “My highlight is when we had the concert and my lowlight is when i had egg and sauce in my hair EWWW said every body and i laghed.So when we were outside waiting for the bus we had to tell witch team has won in the girls it was the Divas and in the boys team i think it was the Brotherhood.The prize is M and M i won it i was in the divas.When we were waiting the bus came and the girls went on the flashy bus and the boys went on the brown bus.As we went to school we fell asleep and the kids woke us up.Horray as we went out of the bus we were finally at home i was jumpping and my papa came and picked me and my sister raewen up.

Miss lavakula's Birthday.

Today it was miss lavakula's birthday.Today we had a compition and the compition was how to make a party hat.Guess what my hat was like a queen.After when Rm 13 made a hat we had chopsuey it was so yummy and after when we finished our chopsuey we had to wash wash our plate and cup.After when we had our chopsuey we had cupcakes it was so yummy and sweet for me.One day i wish that it is my birthday and we can invite friends and people is related.Miss lavakula said that if we be good after lunch we will watch movies and have popcorn.This is the best teacher witch is miss lavakula because she let us watch movies.Please leave me a comment and please enjoy the pictures.Have a lovely day.

My Weekend.

Hello here is a story about Fathers day.WOW it is a long paragraph.Please enjoy. In the weekend it was father’s day.On fathers day i wrote a letter to my grand dad and my dad.First i was at my nan’s house and i woke up and i realized that there is something that is missing on a sunday and my sister Raewen could out it is Father’s day and i got up get dressed and said to my grand dad Happy fathers day granddad and i gave him my letter and he read it and i gave him a big huge hug and he gave me a cuddle and i did too.For fathers day i said to my granddad to close his eyes and sit on the chair and wait because me and my nana and my sister made him breakfast and we said to him you can open your eyes and he did and as he opened his eyes my sister and nana made him egg’s and sausages for breakfast. When my papa had breakfast my dad rang and said “can you and your sister come home” and i said “yes i will” and when he rang us me and my sister said Happy fathers day dad and he said thank you and we said its alright.We went and asked my nan and said “nana can you drop us home because dad said said” and she said “yes i will” when she dropped us home i came in and said to my mom “is dad here” and my mum said “no he is going to pick up your brother and your other sister”.When my dad got back i gave him my card and in my card i said that you will always be in my heart.When he came inside i gave him a massive hug and i gave him the letter i wrote.When he finished reading it he said “Thank you for that magnificent letter Rowana” and i said “Its alright dad happy fathers day”. After when my dad came back me and my sister’s had a shower i was first then Raewen then Oli when i was finished i got changed then Raewen got changed then oli got changed we all got changed and we had to do our hair then we had to travel to my nana’s and papa’s house and say happy fathers day when we did we had a little bit of some snack then we had to give the present to my papa and when we were finished we had to go back to my papa’s house and give him the present and then we had to wait and wait for my aunties uncles and cousins because they were at church and they finished at 1.00 and when they were finished my papa and his cousin and friends were cooking the pig outside our backyard and they were trying to put the fire up and then they did.After that they took for about 3 or 4 hours and when they were finished cooking we had a feed and the reason why we had a feed because it was fathers day and my two aunties and their mom were going to Aussie on monday after when we had our dinner we had dessert for dessert we had ice cream and cake it was so yummy.Once i waited and waited until my stomach got full i felt it and i had fun on Fathers day. I wish on fathers day i could give my grandpa and dad a big massive present so they can be surprised.I hope you enjoy my story Please leave me a comment.
