Whakapapa Boards.

Hello everyone,

 My maths class room 6 has been painting on our own Whakapapa Boards. My afternoon teacher Miss Tito came in with Boards and paper. First we had to find some of our Mum's and Dad's culture designs. I was searching for Tongan, Samoan and Kiwi witch is Aotearoa yes New Zealand. On the next lesson we had to copy out the designs we picked for our cultures. On our paper that we had to copy out we used a pencil and once we finished drawing it we had to color it in with colored pencils.

Next once we finish coloring in our designs we had to use our own Whakapapa boards and start copying the drawing's again from the paper. When you are finish drawing everything on your Whakapapa boards then we had to have this painting test to check if we are good at painting carefully on our Whakapapa boards. Then if we pass the test then we are good to go we can paint, but if you don't pass the test then you have to color in your Whakapapa boards. While we are painting Miss Tito has told us something carefully to us.

Camp Reflection

All year 5 and 6 student from Pt England school. We had our tents on the

field outside the staff room. Our camp started on Wednesday the 13th of March they also put us in groups and I was in a group thats called the Opstars and my team leaders names is  Iron and Tame.

On the first day of camp we did three activities. the first one we did is rollerblades, table tennis and basketball. the first sport i did was rollerblades and it was so hard i tried to ride on it but i sliped down on my back and I broke my back and i was thinking i should play table tennis with my friends named Taylor and Khaia.

The second game we did was top town first we need to fill up the water balloon and Mr Jacobson  has to blow the horn and then we have to go back to the starting line and then Mr Jacobson  yelled out “come on guys we need to get this started’’ and we were in a hurry and he started the race and i couldn’t stop running because my knee and feet were hurting thats what happens to us when we run to much.The first thing we did was to throw the water balloon to the other team the team we vs was the Truecrew.

Then the last activity we played was cooking and catching the girls has to

cook and the boys has to catch a fish to eat and when the girls started to cook we have to wash our hands  before we start to cook and we need a  teacher with us and the teacher was could Mrs Fester she was the one that has to help us cook because we were to young to cook by our self and before we start cooking we had to grab the staff we need and we were cooking cookies and the cookies we made was afghans.

I wish i can go back to camp because its gonna be lots and lots of fun. I really hope I can go back to camp and I am looking forward to going back to camp when I am a year 6 next year.
